GM Powered Solutions launched a commercial vehicle ECM with base calibration for its 6.6-liter gas engine, reducing development timelines for integrators.

GM's new Engine Control Module (ECM) allows upfitters and vehicle builders to start engine integration programs with a running engine, rather than from a blank controller. This bypasses the most technical and least differentiated stage of engine integration, saving significant test-cell time for last-mile and work truck applications. The module supports tailoring for specific vehicle features, offering flexibility not previously available to external customers.
